“Laszlo’s Pizza”

May 22nd has become recognized as “Bitcoin Pizza Day”, celebrating the first purchase with bitcoins, 6 years ago. Bitcoin was still in its Garden of Eden then, as one BitcoinTalk forum contributor reflected,

“I discovered Bitcoin in late 2009. …Satoshi walked freely amongst us then and answered our questions directly. I felt like I had discovered some secret club of cryptoanarchists.”

It all began when a man from Florida, under the pseudonym ‘Laszlo’, posted a new thread on the Bitcointalk forum:

The current valuation for those pizzas on Bitcoin Pizza Day, 2016, is about $4.4 million.
